Hey folks, Harry here - recovering from my DISTRICT 9 screening last night. You see. The film was so good - that an impromptu party was decided to happen at my house afterwards with folks that loved the film so much they needed to keep chatting about it. Which we did to close to 4am last night. Here's the Guest list for the NYC screening of DISTRICT 9. You should get there early to get a good seat, here's the details on the screening again. To the lucky few below - ENJOY - and give Jonathan a good groping!

Hey folks, Harry here and I have to tell y'all... This ticket giveaway may be one of the top giveaways I've done. I received 1282 emails, requesting somewhere over 2500 seats for DISTRICT 9. Well, I only have 220 seats to giveaway... so that means a whole bunch of disappointed folks. But at the same time, it makes me hopeful that this, the most badass film of the summer, might find its audience! These first 25 names are friends & family at AICN - they have guaranteed seats. Here they are...

Hey folks, Harry here - and man, am I glad I can do this for y'all.
When I had to leave 30 minutes before the end of DISTRICT 9, because I had a panel to host... I was in agony. It is actually the only time in my entire life that I was forced to leave a movie I was in love with... before it had ended.
However, I was determined to do a couple of things. 1st, I would finish this movie. 2nd, I really want to give as many of you as I can a chance to see this film and share your impending love of it.

Hey folks, Harry here and right now - this is my big remaining hope of the summer. I know the new HARRY POTTER is going to deliver, I'm pretty confident about INGLORIOUS BASTERDS kicking my ass... but DISTRICT 9... it is the film I hope hands me my ass steaming, bloody and with butter!

Hey folks, Harry here... Wow. Wow. Wow. You know. It's so amazing what unblurring and giving meaning to those alien noises can suddenly fill a trailer with a level of foreboding, menace, pathos and character. Like most of you, I loved the trailer as it was before, but this small (actually huge) change suddenly made this the film I'm really most excited about for the rest of the summer. This is really damn cool!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Yahoo has premiered the teaser poster for Neill Blomkamp's DISTRICT 9, produced by Peter Jackson. I loved the footage they debuted at ShoWest (read my rundown here) and can't wait to see the full flick.

Hey folks, Harry here... I really like this. I love the feel of the trailer, but I have to say, I'm dying to see what the film actually is. Is it all documentary style? Is there a narrative? Where does the film go with this? All I know is it looks very intriguing, what do you think?

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here fresh from the Sony panel where they didn’t prance out any guests, but gave us a good half an hour show reel of their summer slate.
I have to start with the biggie of the presentation: DISTRICT 9, directed by Neill Blomkamp and produced by Peter Jackson… the director/producer team that should have been making a HALO movie.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. We ran a story a couple days ago announcing a film called DISTRICT 9, being produced by Peter Jackson and directed by Neill Blomkamp. The two worked closedly on HALO for a while and the only thing we might ever see out of that collaboration were the series of pretty sweet-ass HALO 3 commercials.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a few Peter Jackson tidbits for you good folks out there.
Firstly, the trades are reporting this morning that Jackson will be producing a flick called DISTRICT 9 for Neill Blomkamp to direct, which would lend credence to the rumors that they're not getting ready to launch HALO afterall.
DISTRICT 9 is an original tale penned by Blomkamp and Terri Tatchell, a big sci-fi actioneer.
