Greetings! ScoreKeeper here waving my wand as I prepare to perform my next magical trick…
I have in my hand five freshly-sealed copies of the soundtrack CD for HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE (2009) composed by Nicholas Hooper. With a wave of my wand I will magically make them disappear and then reappear in the hands of five very lucky Ain’t It Cool volunteers.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with my thoughts on the new HARRY POTTER flick.
David Yates returns, but changes up his visual style dramatically from THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX, with the newest Potter installment which is the darkest entry to the series yet and arguably the best since AZKABAN, which as far as I’m concerned is still the high water mark of the series.

More than after any other Harry Potter chapter in this run of films, I want to read the books. I'm frustrated by the film. Frustrated because I'm so unsatisfied with the state of things at the end of this latest film. I feel like there are MASSIVE sections of the book missing. I want so much more - I want more classroom instruction - more Hagrid - more Tom Riddle memories - more of the burgeoning love stories.

Hey folks, Harry here... As many of you know - I've no idea what is coming in the Harry Potter series. I decided from the beginning to not read the books till after the entire series had been committed to film. As a result - looking at something like this featurette - I can't really know what the scenes represent or mean, only that they make me excited!. It's nice to see characters relating and communicating with one another. Here ya go...

Hey folks, Harry here with the latest HARRY POTTER trailer from this latest "half blood prince" chapter of Rowling's Harry Potter series. I have to say - this is the creepiest and most eerie looking Harry Potter I've seen yet. I just can't get past how creepy it looks. Can't wait to see it all. Here ya go...

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I woke up late today and found a few emails waiting for me on this lazy Sunday alerting me to the International HARRY POTTER & THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE trailer. So I gave it a view and holy crap does it look good.
The visual style and tone of the footage in the trailer seems right on and more than any other Potter book I'm anxious to see how David Yates executes HALF-BLOOD PRINCE, which is my favorite of the series.

Hey everyone. Capone in Chicago here. I knew most of last week that there was going to be a test screening of HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE this past Saturday, and I fought with myself about whether I should try to get in. For whatever reason, they test every HARRY POTTER film months in advance in Chicago; I've been to two of them in the past. And since this sixth film's release date has been pushed to July 2009, this is technically the earliest they've ever test screened an HP films.

Well, this is a surprise. The sixth cinematic jaunt to Hogwarts just got pushed to July 17, 2009, thus leaving a huge hole in the November 2008 release schedule. Why? Feel free to parse WB honcho Alan Horn's official statement:

USA Today has posted two images from HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE.
One reveals the film's 11 year old incarnation of Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes), played...appropriately enough...by Fiennes' 10 year old nephew Hero Fiennes-Tiffin.
The other pic shows Dumbeldore (Michael Gambon ) battling Inferi in a shot that evokes a moment from THE LORD OF THE RINGS movies.

Hey folks, Harry here... Just got sent this Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince press release that was meant to tout the new actors joining the cast - it's fantastic casting as usual... but what excites me is who the Director of Photography is. It is once again proof of just how well put together this series is, that they know to evolve and mature the look, the emotions and the story at each stage - and having Bruno Delbonnel shoot this thing - is just going to be stunning. You know his work from AMELIE, THE CAT'S MEOW, ACROSS THE UNIVERSE and A VERY LONG ENGAGEMENT.

Hey folks, Harry here... I watched the DVD to HARRY POTTER & THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX tonight, but haven't gotten to the extras yet, but it would not surprise me if the video linked below is on there. It's crazy how they're churning this series out with little to no hiccups along the way. Rewatching HPTOOTP tonight, I just really appreciated how well make this series is. Looks like we have another good one coming too. Here's the link:

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I think one of the Potter fansites broke the casting of Horace Slughorn for HALF-BLOOD PRINCE yesterday and today Garth over at Dark Horizons confirmed it with the actor himself.
Jim Broadbent will play the new teacher (Potions teacher to be specific... definitely not defense against the dark arts... who would think that? Not me...). I think that casting is pretty phenomenal. Aside from James Lipton's non-existent British twin there's no one I can think of better for the role.
