Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a chat I had with RELIGULOUS director Larry Charles. I had a blast talking with Charles about religion and his work with Bill Maher. I think we cover some very interesting ground.
There was a fuck-up with my interview with Bill Maher, which I’ll go into detail about below this interview, but suffice it to say through no fault of Maher’s I ended up getting only one or two decent questions in and I’ll slap those on the bottom of this interview, with a lead-in to how things went so wrong.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with some thoughts on the Larry Charles/Bill Maher movie RELIGULOUS sent in from a reader. We'll have some big coverage of this flick in the weeks to come. I interviewed director Larry Charles this evening and am scheduled to talk with Bill Maher on Thursday. The Charles interview went very well and I can only hope the Maher one will be just as entertaining.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. You know my thoughts on Bill Maher and Larry Charles' flick, but we got another review from regular voice Art Snob. He seemed to enjoy the film as much as I did, but is concerned with the impact it's going to have. I won't speak for him any more, so without any further introing, here's Art Snob!

I’m organizing another trip out to LA at the moment… got some interesting things to hit up, some more BOLT coverage and I’m hitting the Saturday, September 13th performance of THE FLY OPERA, directed by David Cronenberg with music and lyrics by Howard Shore… It’s gonna be awesome! At least it better be for the price I’m paying for tickets.

Yesterday, we got an evangelical Christian's take on RELIGULOUS from longtime reader/talkbacker TheBigE. Today, we've got the opinion of SPW, who identifies himself as neither a "believer" nor a "non-believer". He was, however, born and raised Catholic, so you can safely assume that his high school years went exactly like this.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I'm really, really, really super curious about this project from Bill Maher and Larry Charles. Gotta admire the balls on Maher for putting himself in the crosshairs like this. Politics is touchy, Religion is explosive. I've always enjoyed his thoughts (even the ones I don't agree with) on POLITICALLY INCORRECT and REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER, so count me interested in this.

Just some disjointed thoughts on the Mavericks presentation of Larry Charles and Bill Maher's Religulous from earlier in the week, and my brief chat with them afterwards. All told they showed about 15-20 minutes of footage, although not all of it will necessarily appear in the final cut.
