Merrick here...
Seems Stephen Sommers' G.I. MOVIE has been branded with a subtitle (in some parts of he world at least).
film1 grabbed an image illustrating as much at the Cinema EXPO in Amsterdam.
The image also suggests we'll be seeing a bevy of character posters in theaters, similar to several other recent promotional campaigns.

Merrick here...
A few weeks back, a ton of character images from Stephen Sommers' bigscreen plundering of G.I. JOE leaked across The Nets. They were quickly banished, but a number of character shots have now surfaced in officialer forms.

I was distracted by life a few weeks ago, so I may be wrong about this. BUT, I seem to recall hearing that these pics briefly appeared online, and were immediately banished.
If these are the same images? Seems they're back. If these are being posted for the first time...then a hearty "well done" to the site hosting the pics!

Hey folks, Harry here... Got this emailed in by Larry Hama, mastermind behind the badass version of G.I. JOE that Stephen Sommers is translating into a huge feature film due out Summer 2009. What Larry sent over isn't a grab from the film, but the first released publicity shot of Ray Parks in the SNAKE-EYES costume. What I love about the shot is that they're trying to get across that SNAKE-EYES is a ninja with a gun. As for the character - will they get Snake-Eyes right in the film?

Hey folks, Harry here - I heard today that tomorrow afternoon a press release will be going out to the trades and various outlets that a certain young actor had been cast as DUKE - leader of our beloved G.I. JOE crew. Now - I'm not entirely sure about this actor - mainly because he hasn't really been given this sort of exposure - and this sort of character responsibility before - at least in a movie we've seen yet.

Merrick here...
I'm kind of surprised no one's posted about there here on AICN.
When I first started hearing about this, I stepped back to let other people handle it because, frankly, I don't know enough about G.I. Joe to be able to offer a particularly insightful opinion.
However, we're getting quite a bit of mail about the matter...and Fox News has an article that encapsulates the shitstorm quite proficiently...so I'll simply refer you to the following:
