Hey everyone. Capone in Chicago here.
Well, Kevin Smith told me at Comic-Con that August 5 was the day he took his film ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO before the MPAA Appeals Board to try and knock down the film's current NC-17 rating to an R. Shortly after the board's screening, it was announced that the film got it's R rating with no additional cuts. Good news for Kevin and for us. View Askew has all the details about Kevin's victory.

QucikStop has posted the teaser for ZACK & MIRI MAKE A PORNO.
It's about...pretty much what the title says it's about. Nothing is shown here beyond Seth Rogen & Elizabeth Banks watching auditions off screen...but some of this dialog won't fly in work environments, so use caution during playback.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. We got our first review in from a test screening of Zack and Miri Makes a Porno from Kevin Smith. It's a really positive review, but he has an issue with some of the drama. When reading the below review (spoiler alert, by the way) I get the feeling that the gut punch and anger was intended.
I'm excited to see this flick. Enjoy the review, but again... beware of spoilers and keep in mind this film is most likely still being shaped and probably will be a bit different when it hits theaters.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Yeah, I like Kevin Smith's movies. There's something about them (yes, even JERSEY GIRL) that really stick with me. Smith's geek fueled humor really works for me. I've also been an unashamed fan of toilet humor since my wee days, so that doesn't hurt either.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I think this maybe a bit of scoopage. I haven't seen it reported anywhere else, but I have gotten it on good authority that Kevin Smith has found his titular Zack for his upcoming ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO.
Rosario Dawson just dropped out, but Smith has been tight-lipped on who is playing the male lead. He's only said it's someone he admires, but hasn't worked with yet.
That someone, according to a source known as "Big J", is noneother than Michael Bluth himself: Jason Bateman.
I think that's a great marriage of material and actor, personally. Now we'll just have to see who is the new Miri...
