I am – Hercules!!
No big surprises on the ABC slate announced Tuesday.
* Most of the “bubble” shows – “According To Jim,” “George Lopez,” “What About Brian?” and “According to Jim” – are not mentioned in ABC’s new press release (though The Hollywood Reporter reports ABC is still talking to “Jim’s” producers).
* The “Grey’s Anatomy” spinoff is headed to Wednesday. “Big Shots” is getting the post-“Grey’s” slot opposite “ER.”
* Since our Friday report on the doings at ABC, the network added the sitcom “Miss/Guided,” from writer-producers Caroline Williams ("The Office") and Gaby Allan ("Scrubs"). It stars the relentlessly fabulous Judy Greer (“Arrested Development,” “Love Monkey”) as a high school guidance counselor who works at her alma mater.
* ABC pilots that didn’t make the leap to series include:
“The Thick of It,” the new sitcom from “Arrested Development’s” Mitch Hurwitz.
“Untitled Rina Minmoun,” the Southern lawyers series from “Everwood” showrunner Minmoun.
“Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” based on the movie, from the movie’s writer, Simon Kinsberg.
“Football Wives,” based on the British series, from “Ugly Betty’s” Marco Pennette.
“Life On Mars,” based on the British series, from “Boston Legal’s” David E. Kelley.
