Quint interviews Emily Mortimer about LARS AND THE REAL GIRL, PARIS JE T'AIME, TRANSSIBERIAN, Mamet's REDBELT and more!!!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a little chat I had with the lovely Emily Mortimer. I have something of a crush on Ms. Mortimer. I know that’s no surprise. She’s beautiful and a good actress to boot, so I’d be worried about myself if I didn’t have a small crush on her. I did warn her publicist in advance of the interview, but they didn’t seem to think it was a problem. Hopefully her husband doesn’t read this…

Capone Sits Down With Craig Gillespie, Director Of LARS AND THE REAL GIRL!

Hey everyone. Capone in Chicago here. I said this in my review of LARS AND THE REAL GIRL, and I'm going to say it again here: Give this one a shot. This one gets the balance exactly right. It's sweet, innocent, but still dark and heartbreaking. Ryan Gosling is an absolutely master of finding the heart and soul of any character and making you care so deeply for Lars. I am blown away that a movie about a guy’s relationship with a Real Doll could somehow get a PG-13, but it suggests that they’re going to try to make something about the reasons behind the acts, not the acts themselves. And with Ryan Gosling aboard as “Lars” and a cast that includes Emily Mortimer and Paul Schneider, I’m sure this will be well-acted.

We’ve run some test screening reviews for this a while ago, but now you can watch the trailer and get your first idea of what to expect.

Ryan Gosling’s Macking On A REAL GIRL, And We’ve Got Another Review!!

Hey, everyone. ”Moriarty” here.

I know they’ve been testing this one frequently in the last few weeks, so I’m not surprised to see another review show up. I’m curious about this one. It’s got a great title, and even if it does sound like a plot I’ve seen before (track down LOVE OBJECT, a great little film that covers similar ground), Ryan Gosling alone is enough to get me into the theater. He’s always been a strong presence onscreen, and right now, he seems to be hitting his stride.

But don’t take my word for it. Here’s a review from “The Nixer”:
