<font color=red>UPDATED WITH WINNERS!!!</font> Win A Copy Of Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN (Unrated) DVD...

Merrick here...

As promised, here are the winners of the contest.

First place, receiving the 2 Disc Unrated Special Edition DVD of Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN + a $50.00 gift certificate to amazon.com is spikepet for suggesting Zombie should "reimagine" 1982's VICE SQUAD. VICE SQUAD is a perfect fit for Zombie. The notion comes from way out of left field, the concept would be a giddy, masturbatory playground for Rob, and it's a well-considered idea all the way around. Congratulations!

Johnny Vendeta gives us his thoughts on a test screening of Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN!!!

Hey folks, Harry here... Quint announces he's headed to London and they decide to test screen Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN. This can't be mere chance... or is it? Heh. Well, I know a positive review of Zombie's HALLOWEEN is going to cause many cries of plant - but reading Johnny Vendeta's review makes a lot of sense. For one - he's got the details right, based off the script I read. AND - the criticism for a lack of suspense due to the extreme focus on Michael's character... rings very true, but the reaction to the film shifting from an atmospheric suspense horror slasher film to a more brutal action horror film - feels like what Rob Zombie was intending from the direction the script went in. I'm just glad that it seems to be on a good track - although personally... I wish Zombie had created his own slasher character and left remakes alone. He can generate amazing original material, and I hope after this, that that's the direction he goes in. Here's Johnny's review...

Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN remake gets a new poster!!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I keep wanting every little bit I see from this movie to change my mind, to convince me that I just didn't understand the script or that Zombie's pass at HALLOWEEN is exactly the new, fresh blood horror cinema needs. I want that. The trailer didn't do much for me. Standing alone, it's okay, but once you've read the script it just cements in your mind that everything he got wrong is still wrong.

And this poster... I don't get. Maybe it'll grow on me. DEVIL'S REJECTS had a great poster. Hell, even HOUSE OF 1,000 CORPSES had a striking poster. This poster looks like another WWE horror movie. If you want a closer look at it, you can click the image below and get the bigger version, where you can really get a look at the images in the collage.

Rob Zombie Location Photo! And Is This Michael’s Message To AICN!?

Hey, everyone. ”Moriarty” here.

Rob Zombie’s mad at us.

I know he’s told several people that Quint’s review of his script for HALLOWEEN was bullshit, and that Quint doesn’t get what he’s doing, and that he totally misunderstood. In Quint's defense, I think that was a largely constructive review, and I know that Quint was speaking as a long-time fan of the character and the series.

Zombie going back to the typewriter? HALLOWEEN delayed?!?

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with an interesting rumored development on Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN.

My script review wasn't very flattering, but I also purposefully tried to keep the criticism constructive. I think Rob Zombie could make a great movie that is both his own and true to the spirit of HALLOWEEN.

Bloody-Disgusting is reporting a rumor that Zombie has decided to put off production for a little while in order to rewrite the script.

Quint has read the script for <font color=orange>Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN remake!!!</font>

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with my thoughts on Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN remake script.

Let's get the background out of the way first. I liked the first 10 minutes of HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES, but it went downhill after that, turning into a boring exercise in style over substance. However, Zombie won me back with DEVIL'S REJECTS. I can point to some dialog that didn't work, but overall the tone he captured, the characters he gave us and superb casting of horror icons really won me over. To this day, I think REJECTS made good on the promise he was making about CORPSES being a return to hard edged '70s exploitation.

Rob Zombie tells us what we can expect his Michael Myers to look like!? Radical departure or everyone's favorite Shatner mask???

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a teeny tiny tidbit from Rob Zombie regarding his HALLOWEEN semi-remake/prequel thing. He's been using his MySpace page to announce cast (the biggies so far being Malcolm McDowell as Dr. Loomis and Tyler Mane as Myers... love the former, waiting to be convinced of the latter... but since he doesn't open his mouth and we don't see his face, it'll be hard for him to screw it up).
