I am – Hercules!!
Last December Variety reported that a new TV version of “The Prisoner” was headed for the AMC channel. It was to start shooting last spring and air early next year.
Now, it appears, not so much.
Sky One chief Richard Woolfe now tells Digital Spy:
"The Prisoner is not happening. It's a very quintessentially British drama and there were too many creative differences trying to share it with an American partner. I didn't want to be responsible for taking something that is quintessentially British and adapting it in a way that I didn't feel was reflective of the way people would remember it and the way people would want it to be. So we called time on that."

The minimum number of episodes? Six!!
It’s set to air in the U.S. (on AMC) and the U.K. (on Sky One) a year from January.
The “Prisoner” movie has nothing to do with the series and is still in the works.
