I am – Hercules!!
Watching the gorgeous new “Rome” Blu-ray set over the weekend, I found myself pondering what the great Ray Stevenson, who played the fighty Titus Pullo, has been up to since that last “Punisher” movie. Turns out Stevenson’s been making “The Other Guys” with Will Ferrell and Adam McKay and will now play the hammer wielder’s fighty and fat associate Volstagg the Valiant in “Thor.”

Hey folks, Harry here with the latest bit of Superhero Film Casting News and it is very strange indeed. According to actor, Matthias Schweighöfer, who you may have seen in VALKYRIE or RED BARON - in an article in the German edition of Gentlemen's Quarterly aka GQ, he states that he's in the running for a role in Branagh's THOR, but he also mentions that Jude Law and Robert DeNiro have joined the cast.

Hey folks, Harry here with news of Branagh's Asgardian marvel, THOR. The Hollywood Reporter and Borys Kit are reporting that Jaimie Alexander and Colm Feore are joining Kirk's daddy as THOR, Tom Hiddleston as LOKI and Padme as Jane Foster.

Hey folks, Harry here on Twitter, where I've been writing initial impressions of the latest Terminator - but as I'm segueing into my DVD column, I figured I'd put this up. I'm not familiar with Tom Hiddleston's work so far - but I have to say - he looks right at the very least. In Protosevich's early drafts - Loki was a wonderfully written and developed character. Not just EVIL, but a character that feels betrayed by his existence and who he thought he was.

Hey folks, Harry here... - Over at Nikki Finke's Deadline Hollywood Daily - she's claiming that Chris Hemsworth aka Captain Kirk's ungodly heroic dead daddy from JJ's STAR TREK - was apparently carried by Valkyries to Asgard where Odin claimed him as his son and handed him the role of The Mighty Thor!

During a recent discussion about QUANTUM OF SOLACE, IESB spoke to Daniel Craig about being on the short list of actors to play the title character in THOR.
Craig said yes they [Marvel] did approach him but he turned it down.

Hey folks, Harry here - and By Hemdale's Eyes - this is truly magnificent news... Kenneth Branagh directing a huge budget THOR movie for release in 2010... it's just tremendous. Mark Protosevich's script is amazing - and Branagh is perfect. I've been a bit sad ever since the loss of Matthew Vaughn on this project... the last Marvel project he exited was handed to the incapable RATner - and I was fearing something equally traumatic, but it seems Feige is pulling it together and has placed the power of creation in Branagh's overly capable hands.

Hey folks, Harry here... The week before I got married, I got a whole host of scripts. About 20 to be exact and in and amongst those was the latest script by Mark Protosevich (I AM LEGEND, JOHN CARTER OF MARS)... THOR.
I'm a huge THOR geek. Even got that Mjolnir replica they issued a few years back - and I constantly hope a burglar breaks into my house so I can smash his face with my uru hammer. (joke... kinda).
So when this script hit... I'm a huge fan of Protosevich... worked with him for quite some time on John Carter and he's a great guy to work with... intensely passionate about the material he's working on... and I kinda hate that I didn't get the script from Mark, cuz when he turned in his draft on JOHN CARTER - it came accompanied with a soundtrack cd he had made (that looked like Mars) that was made up of the music he was listening to, as he wrote the script. Richard Kelly does this too.
