I haven’t seen Michael Palin’s 1989 documentary miniseries Around The World In 80 Days since it premiered here in the states, but I still remember watching and loving every one of its seven hour episodes. The conceit is Palin endeavors to circumnavigate the globe, a la Jules Verne’s Phineas Fogg, without the use of aircraft. It was Palin's first go at this sort of thing; viewers enjoyed it so much Palin made four or five others dealing with various corners of the globe. Fellow surviving Pythons Terry Gilliam and Terry Jones both cameo, and the set comes with a (new?) Palin interview.
