Just got in from a late night and was reminded that Sunday brought the season finales of HBO’s “Tell Me You Love Me” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”
The drama has already been renewed for a second season, but the fate of the Larry David sitcom is still up in the air.

Hey everyone. Capone in Chicago here. Sometimes you just know that you're going to like and get along with someone, and Jeff Garlin was just one of those people who I knew would be fun and open in a conversation. The man did not disappoint. I'm a recent convert to HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm," having watched every episode leading up to the current season on DVD in the last year.

I am – Hercules!!
The second episode of “Lucy: Daughter of the Devil,” Cartoon Network’s best new series in years, hits tonight, as does HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”
Also, don’t forget “Tell Me You Love Me,” yet another show I love, brings its second episode tonight, and its third episode to HBO On Demand starting tomorrow.
The plotlines for the first eight “Tells”:
SEPT. 9 Episode #1: Katie (Ally Walker) confronts Dave (Tim DeKay) after catching him in a private moment; Carolyn (Sonya Walger) and Palek (Adam Scott) face an ongoing fertility crisis; Jamie (Michelle Borth) questions Hugo's (Luke Farrell Kirby) ability to remain faithful. Written by Cynthia Mort; directed by Patricia Rozema.
SEPT. 16 - Episode #2: Jamie's doubts about Hugo persist; Carolyn is surging, but Palek seems to be losing interest; Dave and Katie argue over the value of Katie's therapy sessions; May (Jane Alexander) reaches out to an old acquaintance. Written by Cynthia Mort; directed by Patricia Rozema.
SEPT. 23 - Episode #3: Mason (Kate Towne) tells Jamie she should find someone else, but Jamie can't shake the memory of Hugo. Palek brightens after passing a sperm-crisis test, but new clouds emerge after Carolyn shares the couple's frustration at a gathering of friends. As Dave and Katie approach a dubious anniversary, Isabella (Aislinn Paul) helps her father pick out a gift for Katie that leaves both parents feeling helpless. A trusting Arthur (David Selby) urges May to face up to her past. Written by Cynthia Mort; directed by Patricia Rozema.
SEPT. 30 - Episode #4: Katie is shocked when Dave joins her at therapy, even more so after hearing what he has to tell May. Carolyn shares a college secret with Palek, who ends up skipping her session and avoiding her calls. Rebuffed by Hugo, a troubled Jamie turns to May for guidance. Written by Cynthia Mort & Anya Epstein; directed by Rodrigo Garcia.
OCT. 7 - Episode #5: Carolyn (Sonya Walger) and Palek (Adam Scott) try a more aggressive approach in their efforts to get pregnant; May (Jane Alexander) suggests a first step to solve David (Tim DeKay) and Katie's (Ally Walker) intimacy problems; Jamie (Michelle Borth) vows celibacy, but finds Nick (Ian Somerhalder), whose own relationship is on the rocks, hard to resist. Written by Vanessa Taylor; directed by Anthony Hemingway.
OCT. 14 - Episode #6: May offers up a novel idea for David and Katie to save their marriage. As Carolyn and Palek come to terms with their infertility, Palek makes a revelation to his startled wife. Later, Carolyn steps up her effort to be made partner at her law firm, and Palek decides to put their house on the market. After an awkward visit with Nick's family, Jamie and Nick assess their relationship. At Arthur's (David Selby) insistence, May meets up with an old flame. Written by David Schulner; directed by Ernest R. Dickerson.
OCT. 21 - Episode #7: With both kids at sleepovers, Katie and Dave get a rare night alone, and make small steps towards rekindling their intimacy. Jamie's new relationship with Nick is jeopardized by the reappearance of Hugo (Luke Farrell Kirby). Palek and Carolyn change homes, but their problems continue, even as Carolyn gets some unexpected good news. Written by David Gould & Dylan Gary and Cynthia Mort; directed by Melanie Mayron.
OCT. 28 - Episode #8: Dave and Katie debate the value of continued therapy. Palek worries about losing his identity in the wake of Carolyn's recent revelation. Nick is spending more and more time at Jamie's, but she can't tell him what he wants to hear. Written by Anya Epstein; directed by Alex Zakrzewski.

SEPT. 9 - Episode #51: "Meet the Blacks." Cheryl (Cheryl Hines) talks Larry (Larry David) into adopting the Blacks (Vivica A. Fox, Ellia English, Nick Nervies, Carla Jeffrey), a family displaced by a hurricane; Larry invents the "perfect" excuse for missing a pair of parties. Directed by Larry Charles.
SEPT. 16 - Episode #52: "The Anonymous Donor." The Davids and the Blacks move into a new house, and take in a new guest; Larry rewrites a dry-cleaning rule; Jeff (Jeff Garlin) finds his reputation stained; and Larry envies Ted Danson's anonymity. Directed by Robert B. Weide.
SEPT. 23 - Episode #53: "The Ida Funkhouser Roadside Memorial." Larry argues with Susie (Susie Essman) and Richard Lewis over condolences, confronts a pair of "sample abusers" at an ice-cream parlor and a perfumery, and is accused of pinching flowers by Marty Funkhouser (Bob Einstein). Directed by David Mandel.
SEPT. 30 - Episode #54: Larry's regrets getting Richard Lewis' girlfriend Cha Cha (Tia Carrere) a job near the office bathroom; a waiter is doomed by a doggy-bag dispute; and Larry proves inept at "talking lefty." Directed by Alec Berg.
OCT. 7 - Episode #55: "The Freak Book." A book about freaks, coupled with a chauffeur's incapacity, sets Larry (Larry David) up for a string of ejections involving Ted Danson, John McEnroe and a group of mourners. Directed by Bryan Gordon.
OCT. 14 - Episode #56: "The Rat Dog." Larry tests the limits of sick sex; Loretta (Vivica A. Fox) and Leon's (J.B. Smoove) job prospects are burned by a slow toaster; Larry befriends an exterminator, to a deaf woman's regret. Directed by David Steinberg.
OCT. 21 - Episode #57: "The TiVo Guy." A malfunctioning TV device puts Larry's marriage with Cheryl (Cheryl Hines) into crisis mode. Directed by Jeff Schaffer.
OCT. 28 - Episode #58: "The N Word." Larry tries to do Auntie Rae (Ellia English) a favor, but ends up offending her instead. Jeff's (Jeff Garlin) stay at the hospital to get a "snore job" opens up a new opportunity for Larry, who takes full disadvantage of it. Directed by Tom Kramer.

I am – Hercules!!
Tonight brings “Meet the Blacks,” the first new episode of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” in almost two years. It’s an instant classic, a five-star affair that had me laughing aloud so often I lost count of my many outbursts.
“Blacks” offers, I believe, one of the funniest sight gags in the hundred-year history of filmed entertainment, a gag NBC would never have allowed David to so explicitly indulge while David was masterminding “Seinfeld.” Kudos to the “Curb” propmaster.
The great Bob “I Misjudged You” Einstein is back tonight as Marty Funkhauser. Richard Lewis, Mary Steenburgen and Ted Danson (still sporting his “Damages” hair) are back as themselves. Vivica A. Fox is hilarious as a hot, chain-smoking hurricane survivor taken in by the Davids. Tia Carrere, who played Lewis’ hot foster daughter on “Anything But Love” 18 years ago, joins the cast as Lewis’ hot girlfriend.
