Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with my thoughts on the Michael Jackson concert-that-never-was film THIS IS IT.
Like most of my generation Michael Jackson was a staple of my childhood. It was a huge deal when a new single hit, when a new record (or tape in my day) was released… It was a badge of honor amongst my friends to own Thriller… yes, even with that totally non-zombiefied MJ cover.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Yeah, this is a cash-in on the early death of one of the most influential pop artists of all time, but as someone who grew up with Michael Jackson's music I couldn't help but smile at the footage in this trailer.
I don't know what I was expecting of the concert he was prepping, but this trailer shows a glimpse at something that would have been incredible. They touch upon a ton of his music, but not Thriller... however I spied some fast cuts of tombstones and zombie dancers.

Hey folks, Harry here... Wow. If Farrah Fawcett wasn't enough, the Reaper decided to take the King of Pop... Michael Jackson. There's an entire generation that has grown up in the aftermath of scandal ridden Michael Jackson, but as a member of that "Pepsi Generation" that Michael captured with his amazing songs, dance moves and spectacles... I grieve.
