Merrick here...
TOY STORY 3 director Lee Unkrich has issued a video announcing that the first two films...currently enjoying their "limited run" 3-Dimensionalization in theaters...would stay on screens past their announced two week engagement (which was to end this week). He didn't say how much longer the films would remain on screens.

Hey folks, Harry here with our exclusive TOY STORY 3 character poster. Disney sent these out to pretty much all of the online entertainment web folks with the idea of promoting tomorrow's big online launch of the Glorious Quicktime HD Tootsie Pop of a Trailer for TOY STORY 3 which is the first look at the actual film and not just something they whipped up promotionally separate from the film. But frankly, the best way to see this trailer is attached to TOY STORY 1 & 2 in 3D... which is in theaters right now.

Merrick here...
Last week, we learned some plot details about TOY STORY 3 (HERE).
Now we have a sense re: how said plot is actually set into motion, courtesy of a detailed report over at Coming Soon. Seems TS3 producer Darla Anderson and director Lee Unkrich unveiled the first publicly presented scene from the film at D23 this weekend.

JoBlo has a bit of information about TOY STORY 3, some of which is gleaned from comments made by John Lassater during a recent animation thingie overseas.
Timothy Dalton will voice Mr. Pricklepants in TS3; his character is described as being "a thespian hedgehog toy".

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Not only does this trailer instantly make me wish it was next summer, but it calms any fears I had that we've moved on from TOY STORY. Seeing Woody, Buzz, the army dudes, Rex, Jessie and the rest of the toys together again, hearing Rickles, Hanks, Allen, Cusack et al instantly brought me back into that world. I am so damn excited for this one. Makes me want to throw in the first two right now as I work... Just might do that...
As the aliens say... Oooooooooooooooooooooooo....

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Instead of dropping 3 paragraph stories for each title covered in the big Disney Animation Presentation, I think I’m going to break it up into two more stories. One will covered Pixar and their slate and the other will cover the slate of Disney Animation.
This one is Pixar-centric. I’ll write up Disney’s tomorrow.
Here will be news, footage, stills and filmmaker discussions about WALL-E, UP, TOY STORY 3, NEWT and the theatrical re-releases of TOY STORYs 1 and 2.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I'm supposed to be headed Pixar-way Friday morning and my big game plan is to pull the fire alarm and in the confusion sneak into Lasseter's office and soak up the atmosphere for a minute, become a super creative genius and then find as much as I can on TOY STORY 3.
Oh shit... I just typed that in a public forum. Well, damn. That plan's out the window now...

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. John Lasseter recently met with shareholders and cemented some interesting tidbits on Disney's upcoming slate. TOY STORY 3... nothing really new here, but he confirmed a 2010 release, LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE's Michael Arndt is scripting and both Tom Hanks and Tim Allen are confirmed to return.
THE FROG PRINCESS is where most of the news hit. It'll be a traditionally hand-drawn Disney flick set in New Orleans, with the "very first African-American Disney Princess," a soul-singing alligator and Randy Newman doing the music.

Hey, everyone. ”Moriarty” here.
A couple of articles appeared online today that seem to add up to a fairly complete picture of what Pixar and Disney are up to for the next few years.
Great stuff, looks like. I’m pretty much up for whatever they do. I have that much faith in the team that’s managing the studios now. I think we’re about to see a rebirth of Disney as an industry leader in animation, and the idea that another TOY STORY is going to be part of that pleases me enormously now that it’s being done by the right people. Robogeek was one of the first to send us a heads-up on this one:

Hey folks, Harry here... Pixar (aka the most brilliant film unit on earth) and Disney have been having 'interesting' backs and forths... A lot of this is about positioning Pixar for the next deal with Disney or as an independent company... Person
