Julian Sands (“A Room With A View,” “24”), 51, will play the middle-aged Jor-El on “Smallville,” according to Entertainment Weekly’s Mike Ausiello .
Jor-El, father of Superman, was on “Smallville” portrayed as a younger (and very American) man by Tom Welling, who also plays Clark on the series.
