Carol Ferris, “Green Lantern’s” hot-stuff aerospace heiress with the jones for handsome test pilot Hal Jordan, will be played by 22-year-old Blake Lively, the tall blonde girl from “Gossip Girl” and those “Traveling Pants” movies. Here she is playing an employee of NASA:

Hey folks, Harry here with the most awesome - pretty reliable - rumor of the day. I'm putting this in the caveat as a rumor - as opposed to a rock solid, take it to the bank story. Right now, Martin Campbell is in the process of finalizing the rest of the cast for GREEN LANTERN to surround Ryan Reynolds with. And I'm not sure why, but I've just hit the point where I'm giddy and hopeful about a GREEN LANTERN movie. This story came from someone working on the film.

Hey folks, Harry here with a pair of stories regarding GREEN LANTERN and the Australian media. On foreign productions we're often dependent upon our colleagues overseas to do a good job in reporting film related news. But, as always, you must consider the source.

Hey folks, Harry here... Got an unconfirmed rumor that at Leavesden Studios - there's been some Warner Bros. screen testing on GREEN LANTERN and that Justin Timberlake was suiting up for the test. That does not mean that JT is going to be Hal Jordan, but just that he's one of the guys that they've been seriously considering for the role of our Emerald Knight. At least that's the latest from our source, Alphonse.

Hey folks, Harry here... Moriarty, going by the absurd alias of Drew McWeeny over at HitFix.com is setting the rumor mill going with his brandishing of EXCLUSIVITY on the news/rumor that Bradley Cooper (Alias, upcoming THE HANGOVER) is close to having a ring sized for him in GREEN LANTERN.

Hey folks, Harry here... I recently just purchased SHOWCASE 22, before the prices got too much crazier than they already were - and its funny how the origin of the Hal Jordan GREEN LANTERN hasn't shifted that much. It's Abin Sur - Hal was a test pilot - The ring chose him. Although, most seem to ignore the classic BIG YELLOW ROCKET with a conveniently RED tip - which provides the action for the film. Another thing you learn from that original first issue is the origin for why GREEN is bad luck for a bride at her wedding - I never knew Green was the chosen color of the Faeries.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I grew up a Marvel kid, but I can tell you two characters I'd love to see brought out of DC's Universe and projected 50 feet high are Captain Marvel and Green Lantern.

Over at Latino Review, El Mayimbe (which is Spanish for The Mayimbe) has some Warner informants telling him who the studio wants to play Hal Jordan/Green Lantern in the theoretical feature film.
Movement on the project seemed to escalate when George Miller's JUSTICE LEAGUE project (temporarily?) bellied-up a while back.
And the Lantern du jour is? Ryan Gosling ("gosling" means young goose).
