Loads o’ scheduling news:
* “Jericho” moves to Tuesdays, replacing “Cane” at 10 p.m., effective Feb. 12.
* CBS just greenlit its first non-summer (and presumably bikini-free) edition of “Big Brother” ever, which will also bow Feb. 12. The reality hit will run hourlong editions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday.

I am – Hercules!!
Summer doesn’t end for a few more days, but there is a post-summer sadness that grips me I watch now the last hour of the last episode of Showtime Too’s “Big Brother After Dark.” I know the broadcast show continues to be a huge key-demo hit for CBS, but I wonder how many voyeurs have been watching all 21 weekly hours of the live cable show?
It’s down to whiny-ass Daniele Donato and her aging metalhead pop, Dick. On Tuesday night we’ll see one get $500,000 and the other will get $50,000. I don’t see angry atheist Dick getting the Jameka/Amber Christian vote, but I’m pretty sure he’ll get the big money anyway.
The “Big Brother” finales are always great, as ALL the contestants are always confronted with their controversial and exceedingly well-documented bad behavior. And how will the sequestered cast react to the fact that ousted Eric has secretly been taking CBS-sanctioned orders from viewers?
I’m curious about the deal Eric has with the show. Till now, he only got paid for every five tasks completed. But his final task (his viewer-mandated final vote for either Dick or Daniele) does not bring him to a multiple of five. Has he a special new incentive to vote?
I’m more curious about what we won’t learn. Once Daniele has her money, will she ever speak to her father again? Will she drop her longtime real-life boyfriend in favor of handsome former bedmate Nick?
As “Big Brother” ends another reality fave, The CW’s “Beauty and The Geek,” returns.
The “big twist” this season is that producers have thrown one male model and one girl without breast implants into the mix.

CBS’ “Big Brother” has been cleaning up this summer, winning timeslot after thrice-weekly timeslot. A recent crossover episode even managed to boost the otherwise troubled ratings of “The Power of 10.” But in an effort to leave nothing to chance CBS has tonight brought Janelle Pierzina, star of seasons six and seven, to season eight. She hosts tonight’s veto competition. There appears to be an estranged father and daughter in the “Big Brother” house. According to an alleged relative’s website, Dick, the 44-year-old Los Angeles bar manager, is said to be daddy to Daniele, the stunning blonde 20-year-old Hooters server from Huntington Beach. Both have already been sequestered from the outside world for more than a week, and neither knows the other will be in the house this summer.
The author of this MySpace page, “EvelDick,” claims to be the “Big Brother” Dick.

Thursday morning’s Variety has all sorts of details about the eighth edition of “Big Brother.” Some highlights:
* Unbeknownst to most of the cast, one contestant will be able to win extra money if he or she behaves within the house as voting viewers demand.
* Several of the contestants will have real-world “unresolved beefs” with other contestants.
* Only two of the 14 cast members are older than 30. The oldest, a bar manager, is 44.
* All but one of the contestants are single or separated.
* Either there was a photo mix-up or Dick (the 44-year-old bar manager) looks EXACTLY like Nick (the 25-year-old ex-football pro).
The new season launches July 5 on CBS and sister channel Showtime Too.

Rabid “Big Brother” fans (like me) are getting more than their usual bleeped and blurred hours on CBS three nights a week this summer.
This season, CBS’ premium-cable sister channel ShoToo will transmit live feeds from the Big Brother house 9 p.m. till midnight PT seven days a week.
Because ShoToo is premium cable, that means uncensored language and nakedness.
Both the CBS and ShoToo versions of the show premiere July 5.
I note that ShoToo is offered by both DirecTV and Time Warner cable as part of their standard Showtime packages.
