Ahoy, squirts! Quint here trying to dig myself out from under this mountain of writing that threatens to crumble down on me like an avalanche filled with carpal tunnel demons.
It’s been a whirlwind 3 weeks which has seen me travel some 10,000 miles by car and plane, from the mountains of Colorado to the beaches of Puerto Rico and back home again. As a result I’ve gotten really far behind on my reviews.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a look at another Telluride film, this time the much buzzed about UP IN THE AIR.
There was a lot of drama preceding this film. It was rumored to be one of the TBAs in the schedule, but not actually confirmed until after the late movie (meaning after midnight) the day before. The sneaks at Telluride are the hottest tickets in town.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with my thoughts on THE ROAD, which screened at the Telluride Film Festival along with a tribute to its star Viggo Mortensen.
Let me start with a recap of the tribute. It’s not a massive ordeal, but they did show clips from many of Viggo’s movies including A WALK ON THE MOON, LORD OF THE RINGS, CARLITO’S WAY, WITNESS and GI JANE (unfortunately no DAYLIGHT) then brought Viggo out (in a “Make Art Not War” t-shirt) to talk a little.
