Hey folks, Harry here - There have been a great deal of rumblings of this project gaining increasing momentum. The following is not decisive information, meaning Jeremy's reading and screen-testing for the part. That just means he's most likely one in a handful of names at this stage. Now - is Jeremy Renner fucking A you're right for MAD MAX? Yessirree!!! I would be genuinely excited if Renner nabbed the role. It'd be perfect frankly. Damn I love the idea of a MAD MAX movie starring Renner. What about all of you?

Hey folks, Harry here... While my internet was down, I was contacted from Down Under by a reliable informant who confirms that MAD MAX 4 is a go. Apparently - George Miller has already had the various vehicles built for years now - as they were built for the doomed FURY ROAD shoot - which was shelved while George explored JUSTICE LEAGUE possibilities. That said, the cars are out of mothballs and being prepped and tuned for the upcoming shoot. There will be a new MAX as this isn't an Ethan Embry story.

In Focus Magazine just published Mike Russell's interview with George Miller to promote the iconic writer-director’s first directorial effort since 1998’s “Babe: Pig in the City,” an animated penguin musical titled “Happy Feet.” But Mike and George spoke of other things. An excerpt:
GEORGE MILLER: “Mad Max 4” is so prepared, there seems to be a lot of momentum for it to get done. Right now, I’ve got another, smaller film to do, and then we’ll gear up and do “Mad Max” again. In what form and so on, I don’t know. But it hasn’t gotten stale in the meantime, and I’m very very keen to do it. It seems like there’s the appetite out there.
