Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I know the headline for this says it’s my Final Day at SXSW, but that doesn’t mean it’s my final report.
I had a pretty crazy final day at SXSW. For the first time in about 11 years of attending this fest I crossed over to the music portion, so my final day of SXSW was a mixture of both music and movies… the combination that makes SXSW so special.

Greetings humans, Monki here with a look back at a trio of "geeky" movies I caught at SXSW this year.
As most of you know, I'm the video game guy here at AICN, and this year during SXSW I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of videogame related films that were presented. Three in particular I managed to catch were NERDCORE RISING, SECOND SKIN and BLIPFEST.

Hey everyone. Capone back from SXSW 2008 with a few two more films worth mentioning from the glorious film festival that I was absolutely be returning to next year; next time I'll be there for the duration and get no sleep whatsoever.
There are still more to come after these, so enjoy the onslaught.

Hey, everyone. ”Moriarty” here.
I think my favorite part of any film festival is the strange short films and the stuff that premieres at midnight and the movies that don’t roll in with massive buzz or distribution deals in place. The odds and ends. That’s where you really find out about the taste of the people programming an event.

Hey, everyone. ”Moriarty” here.
How anyone manages to cover ShoWest and SXSW at the same time is a mystery to me, but Capone once again proves that he will bend time and space if he has to in order to do a smashing job for us here at AICN.
This week sounds like he’s doing a little catch-up, which I’m about to do myself, so I’ll let him get to it:

Hey, everyone. ”Moriarty” here.
Capone’s at SXSW, too?! Curse you, Capone!
Wait... after some of the near-misses you’ve had this year, I won’t even say that in jest. You’ve narrowly escaped my wrath, but just for now, Capone. Just. For. Now.

Hey, everyone. ”Moriarty” here.
Annette Kellerman sounds like she’s drunk on movies right now.
Then again, that floozy ALWAYS sounds drunk!
That’s right! I said it! Whatcha gonna do about it, Annette? You’re enjoying a film festival and I’m up to my shoulders in poopy diapers! And you saw THE WACKNESS! So... nyah!
It's me, Annette Kellerman, back with yet another glimpse at a few more of the films I've had the pleasure of viewing at this year's SXSW Film Festival.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Yay, a really good midnight movie has played at SXSW! I’ve actually heard some good things about a few of the midnights playing, like SHUTTLE, but DANCE OF THE DEAD is the first one I saw that I thoroughly enjoyed. I’ll pepper in some shots I took of the Q&A through-out the review.

Greetings humans, Monki here with my second helping of SXSW goodness.
I'm taking a much more laid back approach to SXSW this year...after year and year I found myself trying to go to as many movies as humanly possible, and I think that sort of degraded the experience a little bit. After a while movies started blending together and I'd completely forget about films entirely. Not exactly the SXSW experience I would like to get.

Hey folks, Harry here - This is Masado's first SXSW covering stuff for AICN - and this his very first write up. Seems this flick is worth checking out. Especially if you're a Foglerphan....
THE MARCONIS BROS
Written and directed by cousins Michael Canzoniero and Marco Ricci. Starring Dan Fogler, Brendan Sexton III, Jon Polito, Zoe Lister-Jones, Patti D'Arbanville, and Stephen Randazzo.
The Marconi Brothers had its world premiere last night at the Alamo Ritz. The house was packed, and the filmmakers and most of the principal cast were in attendance.

Greetings humans, Monki here with my first round of updates from the South By Southwest Film Festival 2008! I spent my opening day swinging from the rafters of the beautiful Paramount Theater while checking out Super High Me and the Vegas flick 21.
On a side note, I probably had the quickest, easiest time through the SXSW registration line ever. I'm not sure why exactly but it seems like after a few years of doing this they don't freak out about my furry paws any more. Good job SXSW volunteers!

Hey folks, Harry here... Sometimes there's shit we can't talk about. Screenings heard at a whisper level and garbled due to a beeping city cleaning vehicle that happened to pass by. These two screenings are just such screenings. They're open to anyone - regardless of badges, passes or what not - They're Midnight screenings somewhere in the city of Austin... tonight and tomorrow night. The films are not to be mentioned in advance, but are of the Independent variety - extremely fucking cool - but extremely hush hush. Why hush hush?
