If the other networks are moving away from sitcoms and into reality, CBS -- a key pioneer in the unscripted genre with "Survivor" and "Big Brother" way back in 2000 -- is going in the other direction this fall, adding an hour of sitcoms.
Among CBS’ new shows, the one I’m keenest to look a is “The Ex-List.” It was created by Diane Ruggiero, whose name is on the teleplays of a lot of great “Veronica Mars” episodes.
Look! Press release!

Don’t bother with talkback on this one; this post will vanish within 24 hours, just like the sale.
Monday it was “Lost” and Tuesday it was “The King of Queens.” It's upfront week, and it looks like Amazon might be celebrating by offering 24-hour series-set deals all this week. Up for today and today only:

When CBS announces its 2008-2009 schedule on Wednesday, its vampire private investigator drama “Moonlight” will not be on it, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The same story indicates that sitcom “The Big Bang Theory” will be CBS’ only sophomore series in the coming season. “Cane,” “Welcome to the Captain,” “Kid Nation” and “Viva Laughlin” were CBS series that didn't get beyond season one.

ABC is only adding two new shows this fall, and another two at midseason (if one doesn’t count NBC refugee “Scrubs”).
Two of the four new series are reality shows from Ashton Kutcher (“Punk’d,” “Beauty and the Geek”)!
The two new scripted shows are “The Goode Family,” an animated sitcom from Mike Judge (“Beavis and Butt-head,” “King of the Hill”), and “Life on Mars,” which, unfortunately, will now be overseen by the team behind ABC’s terrible (and just-cancelled) “October Road.”

New HEROES Promo for 3rd Season!!!
Hey folks, Harry here... Sergio over at TVweek.Com sent over this - proof of a third season of HEROES - for us to look at. Now sure... as every diehard HEROES freak knew... of course we were getting a 3rd season - we've been obsessing after a truncated, slightly misfiring 2nd season... but now we're eager and hungry for more. It doesn't really tell us much, but what it does tell us - is that perhaps this season will be dealing with a hero, in their attempts to do the right thing... could they cause a greater harm...
