Hey everyone. Capone in Chicago here.
I know I said at one of the last screenings I did that I was going to be traveling a bunch and probably wouldn't have anything again for those in and around Chicago until well in to April. Well, I'm a dirty, dirty liar. I am still traveling, but I managed to squeeze in one critical screening next week. Coming off a rousing Butt Numb-a-Thon screening in December and triumphant SXSW Film Festival Opening Night slot last week, I'm ready to bring the awesomeness of KICK-ASS to Chicago.

Harry is fascinated with Tim Burton's ALICE IN WONDERLAND!
You know... it's funny. When I thought this was an adaptation of Lewis Carroll's ALICE IN WONDERLAND... I was less interested, but once the trailers told this was a story following Alice as a young lady returning to a Wonderland ruled entirely by the Queen of Hearts... my interest began picking up.

Zack Snyder's animated owl epic LEGEND OF THE GUARDIANS gets a trailer!
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a look at Zack Snyder's next flick, the animated adaptation of a popular kid's book series called THE GUARDIANS OF GA'HOOLE.
I must say that the movie looks exactly what I thought a CG animated flick directed by Zack Snyder would look like... and I don't mean that as a bad thing. In fact I love that this seems to be a movie for families, but one that has an edge. I get a little SECRET OF NIMH vibe off of this... maybe it's just the animated owl factor, but they both share an overall dark tone.

Mr. Beaks Interviews Tim Burton!

I'm waiting outside Tim Burton's suite at the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood, staring at a door to which a "Do Not Disturb" sign has been crookedly taped. This dishevelment, I'm guessing, is Burton's doing. Same goes for the ugly, all-caps scrawl underneath: "I'm already disturbed."

David S. Goyer To probably end up writing SUPERMAN: THE MAN OF STEEL!!!
Hey folks, Harry here... So just a while ago I just got off the phone with Thomas Tull at Legendary Pictures who told me that the story that appeared over on LATINO REVIEW just frankly isn't true. Tull has not unilaterally hired Goyer to come in and write the new SUPERMAN. He loves Goyer, but frankly - the project isn't at the Script stage yet. Seems Nolan is still hatching some ideas. But he just wanted me to pass on that they have the highest enthusiasm for this project, but the story on Latino just isn't accurate.
