Merrick here...
Early last month, Brett Ratner did an interview with MTV regarding BEVERLY HILLS COP 4.
A particular quote in the interview lead many to the logical conclusion that the new BHC project would have a considerably softer tone/rating than its predecessors.
When asked what is biggest challenge would be, Ratner seemed to indicate that his new film would be geared towards a very PG audience.

The PREDATORS site Harry mentioned below is now online at http://www.predators-movie.com/ Good call, Talkbacker Doomofman!!
Unfortunatley, contrary to what we were apparently told - (HARRY HERE: Actually there's footage there now, the trailer will be there on 3/18) , sounds like the footage won't be online until next week (3/18 according to the site).
Crap.

Hey, folks. Capone in Chicago here, with a couple of films that are making their way into art houses around America this week (maybe even taking up one whole screen at a multiplex near you). Enjoy…

Let's get this straight: the title of Bradley Rust Gray's THE EXPLODING GIRL is purely metaphorical; there are no full-scale detonations of actual people in this movie. If that's what you seek, there's always John Cassavetes - from ten different angles - in THE FURY.

For a sense of this prize's contents, here's a look at the set's packaging (font/back):

Collider spoke with John Cho, who said quite a bit a new HAROLD & KUMAR movie, and spoke significantly less about the next TREK film.
Regarding HAROLD...
- looks like it is happening
- we catch up a little bit later in Harold and Kumar’s lives
-takes place over the holiday season
- this could be a legit holiday movie
- the intent is to honor the holiday traditional style of movies

You cannot have it both ways. A dancer who relies upon the doubtful comforts of human love can never be a great dancer. Never.
AICN-DOWNUNDER
You know the drill: a piece of news, a rundown on box office and new releases, then a whole lot of sanctimonious critiquing. Enjoy!

AB King sent along this overseas link, which looks to be an EXPENDABLES poster from Denmark.
What do we call folks from Denmark? Denish? Denmarkian? If they're Danes, why are certain foods called names like Orange Danishes? Or, are Orange Danishes unrelated to real Danes - in the same way French Fries aren't really from France?
Anyway, here's the poster.

Hey folks, Harry here with the latest trailer for ROBIN HOOD - and it really is the best trailer they've done. Showing us that they will tell us the story of ROBIN HOOD beginning as a child, the ethics that his father reenforced in him and lastly... badass old school action.
I have no fear that this will supplant my love for Michael Curtiz's perfect ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD - but it does look like a damn fine alternative take. I'm interested. How about you?

Hey folks, Harry here... Now this... God, who even knows what a J Edgar Hoover pic would be. That J Edgar Hoover was a short, paranoid, power-hungry cross-dressing oddball that forever changed Law Enforcement for the better... well, that we know. But what would a bio-pic by Clint Eastwood hone in on. Would he leave the shots of J Edgar in his dress at home as he reads through reports?

Hey folks, Harry here - sorry these stories weren't posted earlier, but Yoko had grabbed me to take her shopping, and I've spent way way waaaaay too much time in places like XXI FOREVER (which had a stunningly beautiful check out lady that could work in film, the camera would worship her), the GAP, NORDSTROMS, etc... My brain is a tad mushy - but hey, I got a killer ridiculous hat by Robert Graham to wear throughout SXSW... so it is all good.

Hey folks, Harry here and I want to wear my Cheesehead hat to the premiere of this one. It seems that Al Capone aka Robert DeNiro is set to play Vince Lombardi - perhaps the most legendary and beloved coach, this side of Tom Landry... ahem, in NFL history... so much so, when you win the SUPER BOWL, you get to take a trophy named after him home.

The Los Angeles Times chatted with Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas. While not revealing pointed details about the new BATMAN and SUPERMAN films they're orbiting, they do give us a sense of how both projects are being approached at the moment.
