Early last month, Brett Ratner did an interview with MTV regarding BEVERLY HILLS COP 4.
A particular quote in the interview lead many to the logical conclusion that the new BHC project would have a considerably softer tone/rating than its predecessors.
When asked what is biggest challenge would be, Ratner seemed to indicate that his new film would be geared towards a very PG audience.

In MEET THE FOCKERS, the 2004 sequel to MEET THE PARENTS, we were introduced to Bernie and Rozalin Focker (Ben Stiller's parents). Now that a new FFOCKERS film is rolling around, there's been some question as to who'll return.

John Hlavin, a writer on THE SHILED, will script a new UNDERWORLD film. No word on who'll direct or star, although Len Wiseman (who directed the first two films and produced the third) will produce.

TWILIGHT: NEW MOON is expected to open to $100 million this weekend, and I refuse to believe that anyone who pays to see this non-movie will enjoy it as anything other than a shameless melange of pasty skin, chiseled abs and tween-emo longing. It's garbage. And while I'm aware there are people who mistake the torpidity of these films for tragic depth, it's my hope that many of them will soon be exposed to Jane Austen as more than a cheap allusion, at which point they'll realize - with horror-struck remorse - the ignorant error of their youth.

Hey folks, Harry here... Earlier tonight I was at the Alamo Drafthouse South - where in the lobby there was a striking (pun intended) Standee for PERCY JACKSON & THE OLYMPIANS: THE LIGHTNING THIEF. It is the poster art, but with Percy Jackson throwing a flashing and thundering lightning bolt. Just in time for all the NEW MOON girls to notice(?) as they ponder bloodsports or bestiality. Then I spy the new trailer online and I get what Fox hopes happens with this series.

I told you I'd be hounding you guys with all sorts of teasers and clips for the upcoming splendor that is UP IN THE AIR, which our own Copernicus declared "the film to beat for Best Picture this year." I happen to concur.
Today, I've got clip given exclusively to AICN that features the film's star, George Clooney, and the always-excellent Jason Bateman, who plays Clooney's boss, who is announcing his intention to saddle the solitude-oriented Clooney with a temporary partner. Enjoy!

UP IN THE AIR is the film to beat for Best Picture this year. But to
call it Best Picture is to diminish it. Best Pictures come at the
whim of a fickle Academy that makes choices that don’t always stand
the test of time. UP IN THE AIR is a rarer bird – the kind of film
that announces that there is a new important director on the scene –
one for the A-list. Jason Reitman has already shown promise with his
previous efforts, THANK YOU FOR SMOKING, and JUNO. But promise isn’t
the word for UP IN THE AIR – it is something closer to mastery.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Growing up a movie geek I always read the reviews in the local newspaper (as a kid it was the San Jose Mercury News and as a teen The Austin Chronicle or Austin American Statesman) and would always feel a little frustrated when the reviewer obviously didn’t like the type of film they’re reviewing, specifically genre titles, yet they review it anyway without admitting any bias.

A four minute (ish) sequence from AVATAR has been posted over at Marketsaw.
This footage appears to be captured from an XBOX 360 playback of some sort (is this clip available through XBOX Live overseas, maybe? Looks like...) It's filmed off of a TV screen, which is hardly the best presentation for any footage. This said, the quality here isn't altogether bad.

Chris Morgan, who wrote FAST & FURIOUS and WANTED, is scripting 47 RONIN for Keanu Reeves.
Pic is a priority project for Universal, and it is unusual to see a first-timer entrusted to helm a film with a large budget and tentpole aspirations.
