STILL MORE INVADER ZIM! Upcoming Episode Guide!

Hey! Dave, El Cosmico here, happy as a happy person that I have some more info about Nickelodeon's excellent animated series, INVADER ZIM.

It airs again tonight on Nickelodeon, at 8PM Central, at which time you ought to watch it.

New episodes start soon, and, well, I've got plot synopses for episodes up until...number 20! Be advised, if you're not aware, that INVADER ZIM half-hour airings are often split into two "episodes", so, for instance, 7A and 7B will air on the same night, one after the other. 13, 16, and 20 A/B, however, will have one episode taking up the entire half hour airing.

Oh, it is so wonderful to have such information, and while I've put in a spoiler warning, I really don't think reading through these suckers is going to ruin a single moment of the show for you. They're brief enough, and the show's appeal is in its style and humour, which definitely aren't spoiled by these summaries.

So now, enjoy this look at upcoming episodes of ZIM, and dream, yea dream of episodes to come even after these.

Also, quite relevant to those concerned, you ought to know that ComicCon will be showing "A Room With A Moose" and "Bad, Bad Rubber Piggy." In case you're lucky enough to be at ComicCon.

Ah well, I won't be, but here's what we have to look forward to from our favourite INVADER:

7A “PLANET JACKERS”

When things start going haywire, ZIM’s worst fear comes true: Planet Jackers are stealing Earth! Encased in a shell and tugged along by a couple of blue-collar planet jackers, Earth is in trouble and ZIM must save it so he can destroy it properly. ZIM demands that the Earth be let go, claiming that the Jackers (who steal planets and throw them into their dying sun as firewood) have a no–stealing pact when it comes to planets marked for Irken destruction. But the jackers insist that Earth was not marked (surely a clerical error). ZIM uses his Irken ingenuity to loosen Earth from its shell and it is safe once again for impending doom. The Almighty Tallest would be proud!

LOGLINE: ZIM must rescue Earth from Planet Jackers and make it, once again, safe for Irken invasion.

7B “BAD, BAD RUBBER PIGGY”

ZIM decides that the only way to rid the world of Dib is to send a hunter destroyer machine back in time to stop him. But the hunter destroyer is incompatible with his time machine and it seems the only object that can make the ultimate trip is GIR’s rubber piggy. Using Dib’s personal timeline, ZIM sends back a series of rubber piggies that interfere with his nemesis and, through time, weaken him. The effect though is that Dib is so enfeebled that Professor Membrane develops an incredibly powerful exoskeleton for his son. The new mega-Dib is more threatening to ZIM than ever. ZIM sends back the last piggy in time to prevent himself from using the time machine in the first place.

LOGLINE: In order to eradicate Dib, ZIM uses a time machine to send back rubber piggies to alter his enemy’s past.

8A “RISE OF THE ZITBOY”

ZIM is horrified when Dib is able to enter his home. In addition to this apparent breach in security, ZIM has developed a pimple the size of an Irken grapefruit on his cheek. By drawing a face on his pimple and fitting it with a ventriloquist’s body, ZIM is able to pass off the blemish as his visiting friend Pustulio. By bobbing his head in a certain manner, ZIM makes his “friend” bounce in such a away that whomever looks at it becomes mesmerized and must tell the truth. ZIM uses the technique on the children at Skool, obtaining all sorts of knowledge. Only Dib figures out what is actually going on but even he cannot resist the allure of Pustulio. ZIM learns how Dib got in his house and goes home to fix the problem.

LOGLINE: ZIM disguises his pimple as his friend Pustulio, who ends up having hypnotic powers.

8B “INVASION OF THE IDIOT DOG BRAIN”

In a mechanical mishap, GIR becomes part of the security core of the house. The result: The house is now a four-walled embodiment of the idiot dog/robot. The house, controlled by GIR and with ZIM in it, takes off and runs through the city leaving a trail of destruction in its path. ZIM pleads, yells, demands that GIR return to the homebase but this house has a mind of its own. It seems that GIR’s sole interest is in obtaining tacos and it is only after he does so and realizes that he has no mouth with which to eat them that he agrees to return the house and ZIM back to their headquarters.

LOGLINE: In a mishap, GIR becomes one with the house and takes it and ZIM for a wild ride.

9A “ROOM WITH A MOOSE”

ZIM tricks all the kids who annoy him (which turns out to be everyone in his class) into getting on a bus for a supposed field trip. But, as Dib soon learns, they are not on a bus at all but on a ship heading for a wormhole. ZIM reveals that what lies at the end of the wormhole is a room… with a moose! Dib tries to convince his bus-mates of their impending doom, but they’re no great fans of the smart kid either and just laugh at him. Finally Dib realizes that if he moves to one side of the bus, all the other kids will move away from him and thus tilt the bus-ship back home. To his relief (and chagrin) the plan works and the kids arrive back at Skool. ZIM is stuck with all his foes, including Dib.

LOGLINE: ZIM comes up with a plan to get rid of Miss Bitters’ entire class.

9B “HAMSTERGEDDON”

When a pet hamster named Peepi is brought into Miss Bitters’ class, ZIM sees the power of cuteness and gets an idea: he will use this power to control human beings! ZIM kidnaps the furry creature, injects him with alien DNA and returns it to Skool where Dib points out that Peepi has grown to twice his size. Peepi reaches enormous proportions and cutely rampages through the city. Everything is fine until ZIM realizes his house is in Peepi’s path of destruction. Although he hates to waste an opportunity to conquer the enemy, ZIM has no choice but to launch the giant hamster into space.

LOGLINE: ZIM discovers how easily humans are affected by animal cuteness and sets about taking over the earth with a giant hamster!

10 A “PLAGUE OF BABIES”

ZIM catches Noogums, the baby from next door, looking at him and is convinced the drooling menace is a spy. But for once, ZIM’s suspicions prove to be more than paranoid delusions. It turns out that Noogums, as well as others babies, are actually adult aliens who, stuck on Earth, pose as human infants. Desperate to return to their mother planet, the babies tell ZIM that if he doesn’t give them his ship, they will expose him as an alien. Through the application of science fiction (mainly fiction) ZIM turns the aliens into actual babies, thus eliminating the threat.

LOGLINE: ZIM must defeat his most disgusting enemy yet: a baby!

10 B “BLOATY’S PIZZA HOG”

It’s that time of year again: Membrane and the kids are going out to eat and GAZ picks Bloaty’s Pizza Hog for the occasion. The only problem is Dib runs off to infiltrate ZIM’s lair and Membrane insists they can’t go until Dib gets back. Stuck between a rock and a delicious piece of pizza, Gaz goes off to rescue Dib. Mission accomplished, Gaz settles in to eat pizza with her dad and her annoying brother.

LOGLINE: Family Night is delayed until Gaz can rescue Dib from ZIM.

11 A “DOOR TO DOOR”

The Skool is running a candy drive and whoever sells the most chocolate bars gets a mystery prize. ZIM becomes obsessed with obtaining this unknown prize and does everything in his power (including putting the fear of God into would-be customers) to achieve his goal. ZIM succeeds in his mission but it turns out there is no mystery prize. Stupid humans.

LOGLINE: ZIM becomes obsessed with selling the most candy in a Skool drive.

11 B “FBI WARNING”

ZIM takes seriously the FBI warning on a video GIR is watching and believes that the mission will be threatened if he doesn’t get the movie back to the store on time. Unfortunately, ZIM tries to go when the mall is closed and under the watchful eye of security chief Slab Rankle. The obsessive Rankle hunts ZIM down throughout the mall. In the end a triumphant ZIM turns down Rankle’s offer to join him in his mall-protecting duties.

LOGLINE: ZIM meets his obsessive match in the form of mall security guy Slab Rankle.

12 A “BOLOGNIUS MAXIMUS”

Dib picks up on the fact that ZIM doesn’t eat human food and throws a piece of bologna at him to prove his point that ZIM is an alien. ZIM is so disgusted with the meat experience that he introduces bologna DNA into Dib, causing him to be a walking bologna boy. But turnabout is fair play and soon there are two delicious lunch meat boys at Skool. The mortal enemies must work together to find a cure. Of course, they never do.

LOGLINE: ZIM and Dib each become walking slabs of cold cuts.

12 B “GAME SLAVE 2”

The hand-held GAME SLAVE 2 is coming out and Gaz MUST have one. But when she gets to the mall she’s cheated out of the last one by a weasily kid named Iggins. Gaz vows that the game will be hers and spends the night terrorizing Iggins, who refuses to stop his game in progress. Oh and Dib meets a colony of rat people that inhabit the parking structure of the mall.

LOGLINE: Gaz terrorizes a boy who won’t give her his Game Slave 2.

13 A/B “BATTLE OF THE PLANETS”

ZIM discovers that there is no life on Mars and reasons that whatever destroyed its people will be effective in his destruction of Earth. ZIM and GIR head to the red planet to investigate, as Dib watches them from a monitor on Earth. Soon ZIM realizes that Mars has been converted into a spaceship and decides to roll it over Earth as a way of destroying it once and for all. Dib is determined to stop him and with the help of a Swollen Eyeball member, gets to Mercury, which can also be steered like a spaceship. The two then literally conduct a battle of the planets, with Dib the victor. Does Dib finally get the recognition he so surely deserves? Nah.

LOGLINE: ZIM and Dib each pilot planets in their fight for Earth.

14 A “MYSTERIOUS MYSTERIES”

Desperate for ratings, the Mysterious Mysteries anchor finally uses one of Dib’s stories for a segment on the show. Dib thinks he will finally out ZIM as the alien he is by showing a video of his enemy. But most of the story is not on tape and so is told through various reenactments as interpreted by ZIM, Dib, GIR and GAZ. In the end, the MM anchor thinks they’re all crazy but stops short of declaring ZIM an alien.

LOGLINE: ZIM, Dib, GIR and Gaz appear on Dib’s favorite show, Mysterious Mysteries.

14 B “ABDUCTED”

ZIM has done such an excellent job portraying an earthinoid that two other aliens insist on adding him to their collection of creatures as a perfect representation of a human being. Lucky for ZIM, these two are so incompetent that he easily escapes.

LOGLINE: Mistaken for an earthling, ZIM is captured by two moronic aliens.

15 A “HOBO 13”

Annoyed with yet another request for weaponry, The Tallest tell ZIM that they will only grant his request after he attains military training on Hobo 13, a planet where they’re sure he’ll be ripped limb from limb. Once on HOBO 13, ZIM appoints himself leader of his squad and systematically gets every last one of them beamed away. Victorious, ZIM asks for his tanks but instead The Tallest send him on a collision course with the sun.

LOGLINE: The Tallest send ZIM to Hobo 13 to receive military training.

15 B “FUTURE DIB”

Membrane has invented a new machine that, if it works, will eliminate the need for fuel, and if it doesn’t, will destroy all life on Earth. This of course gets ZIM’s attention and he sends a robot version of Dib to the real thing. Dib believes the robot to be a future version of himself and does whatever it tells him. Thus Dib is captured and the robot is sent to sabotage Membrane’s invention. Using his wits, Dib thwarts ZIM’s plan of evil.

LOGLINE: Dib meets the coolest guy ever; a future version of himself!

16 A/B “HALLOWEEN SPECTACTULAR OF SPOOKY DOOM”

Experimenting with alternate dimensions, Dib gets stuck in a spooky world created by his own imagination. The monsters inhabiting this alternate reality want to leave but the only way to do so is to go through Dib’s head. Dib recruits ZIM to find a way back to reality.

LOGLINE: Dib and ZIM get stuck in a nightmare world on Halloween.

17 A “THE SAD, SAD TALE OF CHICKENFOOT”

Mysterious Mysteries airs a segment on Chickenfoot, a creature that is neither man nor chicken. Dib is furious that the good name of paranormal science is being sullied by what is obviously just a guy in a Mr. Chicklylicky restaurant costume and sets out to prove Chickenfoot a fraud.

LOGLINE: Dib sets out to prove that the supposed phenomenon of Chickenfoot is nothing more than a guy in a costume.

17 B “GIR GOES CRAZY AND STUFF”

Sick of his robot’s short attention span, ZIM fixes GIR so that he is always in his serious mode. The only problem is, GIR gets so serious that he tries to overtake his master.

LOGLINE: The tables are turned when ZIM makes GIR a little too smart.

18 A “WALK FOR YOUR LIVES”

In an attempt to impress the Tallest, ZIM accidentally creates a very slowly expanding explosion that he must get rid of. Meanwhile, Dib, who has also been relegated to slow motion, slowly goes for help.

LOGLINE: ZIM creates a very slowly expanding explosion and must get rid of it.

18 B “LICE”

When an outbreak of lice hits the Skool, an intense woman known as the Delouser arrives to rid the children of the infestation. Dib naturally suspects the woman as having ulterior motives.

LOGLINE: The Skool is hit with an infestation of lice and a visit from the Delouser!

19 A “DIB’S WONDERFUL LIFE OF DOOM”

After chucking ZIM with a muffin, Dib’s life mysteriously takes a turn for the better. We follow him through old age as he lives out all of his dreams.

LOGLINE: Suddenly everything goes right for Dib.

19 B “MEGADOOMER”

Due to an Irken mishap, ZIM receives a cool stealth robot with which he will ruin Dib once and for all. But ZIM doesn’t quite understand that just because the robot is invisible doesn’t mean he is.

LOGLINE: ZIM gets sent a really cool robot from Irk.

20 A/B “TAK, THE HIDEOUS NEW GIRL”

ZIM thinks the new girl in school, TAK, has a crush on him. He couldn’t be more wrong. TAK is actually an Irken who has come to Earth to seek revenge for the torment ZIM caused her back home. Dib, who had befriended the new girl, must join forces with ZIM to stop TAK’s destruction of Earth.

LOGLINE: A new girl comes to skool and it’s bad news for ZIM.

There you are folks, tell your friends to watch this show too. I'd like for it to be around for a good while.
