Well like with most things cinematic this year, the FRENCH got it right. Them dad-blasted ETers done fucked up, and the French come in to the rescue, till the inevitable super high quality QUICKTIME hits the web.

As I (Harry) watch this trailer mesmerized, I have to wonder when I see Jon Peters' name... After reading the script, did he ask who Cassius Clay was? Did he want Polar Bears to guard the ring? Did he want Will Smith to play Ali so long as he didn't float like a butterfly or sting like a bee? Why give Peters a hard time? Well he's been in charge of screwing up SUPERMAN for many a moon... He worked on that project not knowing Clark Kent's birth name. Hell... there ain't no difference between the two. Ali even guest starred in Superman in a special oversized fight edition where Ali whupped his ass like the out of shape Kryptonian that he was.

However, I have to say Michael Mann is shooting a damn fine looking film. And Will Smith... You sir have made a magnificient transformation. One that I once thought he could never pull off, but damn if it doesn't look like he's the GREATEST and is doing the greatest job of trying to pull it off. My anticipation has just leapt for this movie as I'm very happy to see that the teaser was a full on trailer and wasn't just ducking and dodging and swinging in a ring. But that it showed the personality and touched a bit upon the scope of the film. I can't wait!
