Hey folks, Harry here with the femme casting of Spielberg's for A.I. Personally, I think Frances is a jewel. In MANSFIELD PARK she was radiant, and in LOVE AND OTHER CATASTROPHES well... she ruled. So it seems we'll probably see her be damn good again in this film. Before that though... we'll see her in BEDAZZLED with Brendon Frasier. Here's the scoop..

Here's a scoop for ya Harry, Australian actress Frances O'Connor has just been signed as the female lead for Steven Spielberg's A.I. She joins Jude Law and Haley Joel Osment who are now confirmed.

It is a big coup for O'Connor, who was signed without an audition after Spielberg saw some of her earlier work. O'Connor was the lead in the recent film version of Jane Austen's Mansfield Park and has just finished shooting the remake of Bedazzled with Brendan Fraser and Elizabeth Hurley. She has also been critically acclaimed in Australia for her work in low-budget independent films like Love and Other Catastrophes and Kiss or Kill.

Principal photography on A.I. starts on July 18 at Long Island for what is expected to be a 12 to 15 week shoot. Will let you know when I know more.
