...with the kind of news I am usually terrified to print. None the less, this is from a source which has been kind to me in the past - and I kinda sorta feel like printing this news, even though it may be a tad inflammatory.

Fans of The X-Files are, no doubt, keenly aware of both Chris Carter and David Duchovny's desire to leave the series at the end of this season. This factor has recently been highly publicized.

In theory, the series could go on without both people - although some question the willingness of fans to accept such radical changes, and Fox's desire to continue the series with two of its most fabled key players removed from the mix.

If The Pitbull's information pans out, 'twould suggest a battle plan has been laid not only rest of this season - but into next season as well. Read his message carefully, and see what you think...

While sniffing around the Fox lot, The Pitbull has learned that David Duchovny won't be in the last four X-FILES this season.

It's not finalized, but the talk is that he will be replaced by Stephen Rea of THE CRYING GAME.

Fox hopes to continue the series for another season with Rea as the male lead.
