* A “Saturday Night Live” special is once again NBC’s top-rated scripted show, second only to “Sunday Night Football.” This has happened with every primetime installment of SNL this fall. Not surprisingly, there’s a lot of talk about NBC giving SNL a more permanent presence in primetime.

* “The Amazing Race,” which has long tottered on the verge of extinction, is now a top-20 show. “Survivor,” still in the top 15, continues to crush “Ugly Betty,” “My Name Is Earl,” “Smallville” and rival reality contender “Kitchen Nightmares,” which many saw as potential “Survivor”-killer.

* “60 Minutes” could turn out to be the top-rated show this week too, as it features tonight the first exclusive post-election interview with the president-elect.
