Ben Stiller Up For Directing Aaron Sorkin’s TRIAL OF THE CHICAGO 7??

I am – Hercules!!

The Hollywood Reporter has a Thursday-morning story that indicates Ben Stiller (“Zoolander,” “Tropic Thunder”) has been meeting with DreamWorks about directing “The Trial of the Chicago 7,” from the script by Aaron Sorkin (“A Few Good Men,” “The American President,” “Charlie Wilson’s War”).

While a drama might seem a stretch for Stiller, it helps to remember that dramatic elements attended the Stiller-directed “Reality Bites” and “The Cable Guy,” and that Sorkin hasn’t yet authored a screenplay devoid of comedy.
