Regency has picked up a script by Sheldon Turner called DOWN RIVER. Turner recently scripted X-MEN ORIGINS: MAGNETO and TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNING.

DOWN RIVER...

...revolves around four twentysomething masters of the corporate world who decide to go on an actual adventure trip to the Amazon rather than on a high-class trip where you pretend to rough it. Things go awry when their tour guide is killed and the men have to face not only dangerous wildlife and tribesmen but also one another.

It was nothing but trouble for the gang in KING KONG. Ned Beatty got him some barnyard lovin' in DELIVERANCE. Marshall, Will, and Holly ended up with Chaka and Sleestacks. The CONGO guys got attacked by killer hippos and lava and something about monkeys & laser beams ("monkeys and laser beams" sounds like an AUSTIN POWERS gag). Indy, Short Round, and Capshaw ended up at The Temple of Doom. Meryl Streep had to fight the FOOTLOOSE guy in THE RIVER WILD (did you know amazon has a "When Kevin Bacon Goes Bad" grouping? It's HERE.) What am I missing?
