The commentary track on the new Imaginationland DVD reveals that writer-director Trey Parker contemplated extending that 3-episode storyline to as many as seven episodes, and using it to finish out the 11th season.

Didn’t happen though. The last time we saw Butters, Jimmy, Kyle, et al four months ago, the storyline involved the 4th-grade girls appraising the 4th-grade boys.
