...with a brief message about interesting goings on over at Earth: Final Conflict.
Seems Lisa Howard...E:FC's sexy, butt-kicking female lead (Lili Marquette)...will be making adjustments to her schedule in the coming season, to accommodate the April 1st arrival of her new child.
Coaxial reader DAVE just sent in the following quote from
Ms. Howard, addressing her forthcoming schedule change:
"...let me address
the issue of my
return in season 3 of EARTH.
I will definitely be
participating in the
new season. In fact, I'll be there for the first
week of production.
However, I have asked that my participation be
limited in the first half
of the season. My producers have been so incredibly
generous to me. They
are all family oriented people and respect my desire
to bond with my
child, so have agreed to my request."
As for the
second half of the
season, that remains unknown. There will be a new
female character to
balance out the cast, but she will not be replacing
Lili.
I truly hope
that I will be able to balance my new role of
motherhood, with the role
of Lili Marquette, and that there will still be a
place for me on EARTH."
All of this helps put into perspective a message recently submitted
by DooGIE, which indicates screen tests are currently under
way for "a new female lead". DooGIE was unable to answer
whether or not this new character will appear alongside Ms. Howard (as is indicated by her statement),
whether she might ultimately become a main character to
replace Ms. Howard, etc.
DooGIE just knew that casting was currently underway for the character
who help "balance out" the E:FC cast.
Personally, I sincerely hope her substitution is temporary. It took the series along time to stabilize after the replacement of its leading man earlier
this Season, and some say it still hasn't. I'm not sure if the show can take another hit right now
(although many perceive its quality to be on the up-swing, and it has been picked-up for two more
seasons - virtually guaranteeing the "story arc" it set out to tell will be dramatized to
completion...
Thanks to Dave and DooGIE for this information...

in an instant - so what's the hold-up?!?!?!? Talk about missing the boat...))
