I am – Hercules!!

The great Steve Carell pays hilarious tribute to the great Steve Martin on tonight’s “Kennedy Center Honors.”

This is a good 2-hour special to record, I think. There’s a lot of great music in it, with loads of amazing Beach Boys and Supremes tunes performed by a variety of performers, but I’m not sure everybody’s going to like everything.

There are five honorees. This is the order in which they’re honored:

1. Martin Scorsese
2. Steve Martin
3. Diana Ross
4. Leon Fleisher
5. Brian Wilson

Fleisher, by the way, is not one of the guys who animated Superman and Popeye and Betty Boop. He's a classical musician.

And, just to drag sweet Caroline Kennedy into my horny little corner of the Internet, I declare here the former first daughter is holding up a good deal better than her cousin Maria, first lady of my adopted state.
