Tim Burton comes to the Third Dimension with ALICE IN WONDERLAND and a FRANKENWEENIE to wag in your face!!!

Hey folks, Harry here - You ready for something that is just incredibly unbelievably awesome?

Well... here ya go. Looks like us Burton heads are in for treats galore after the singing gorefest this season! Tim Burton, coming off his best film in over a decade, is going to launch into a pair of 3D movies!!!

Variety is announcing that Walt Disney Studios has struck a two film deal for Tim Burton to direct first... ALICE IN WONDERLAND, starting filmming next year. The movie was written pre-strike by Linda Woolverton. The film will be live-action and performance capture animation (like this weekend's BEOWULF) but in a different style, most likely. Burton let loose on the world of Lewis Carroll's classic is such a joy to hear. Does this mean we'll get a Johnny Depp captured Mad Hatter? Dare we hope too much? Will Helena Bonham Carter be captured as the Queen of Hearts? And who, pray tell, would be the Cheshire Cat or the bong-hitting Catepillar? I can't wait to fall down the rabbit hole with Burton on this one!

THEN - Burton is going to helm and produce a Feature Film adaptation of FRANKENWEENIE based upon his brilliant early eighties short film. This film will be STOP MOTION ANIMATED in DIGITAL 3D!!!!!!! Holy Mary Mother Of God, That's Awesome!!! I literally couldn't be happier about this! 3D rules!!!
