“The Office” returns to half-hours tonight to make room for the return of the wacky doctors, sassy nurses and angry janitors on the final season of “Scrubs.”

Jason Reitman (“Thank You For Smoking”) directs tonight’s “Office” installment. Joss Whedon (“Serenity”) directs next week’s.

NBC has confirmed the legitimacy of this weekend’s “Office” convention in the real Scranton, Pa. Tickets are $25 to $250. Read more of this here.

THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF ADVERTISING – When the Scranton branch is asked to participate in a Dunder Mifflin ad, Michael (Golden Globe winner Steve Carell) seizes his chance to exhibit his creativity. Meanwhile, Dwight (Rainn Wilson) explores the online world of Second Life.
