Hey, everyone. ”Moriarty” here.

Doug Liman makes big slick films these days. I can’t honestly say that I liked MR. & MRS. SMITH, but I certainly admired the way it was put together. I haven’t read this script, and I haven’t read the books the script is based on, but I am dimly aware that the books are young lit SF that some people really dig.

I like seeing Hayden Christensen back in the lead in something like this. I like it a lot. I know he’s a popular piñata for geeks, but I think he’s capable of being really good with the right director. And Sam Jackson makes an extreme choice with his look in the trailer, and I sort of like the overall style of the film.

The trailer is FX crazy. For the film to keep up that pace, it would have to be HUUUGE budget. Personally, I liked this trailer a lot more than I expected to, and now I’m tempted to go figure out what folder I put that JUMPER script in a few months back...
