This story by Borys Kit at Hollywood Reporter is a must read. Universal picked up this book called LONE SURVIVOR: THE EYEWITNESS ACCOUNT OF OPERATION REDWING AND THE LOST HEROES OF SEAL TEAM 10. Bit of a mouthful, ain't it?

Anyway, it was written by a soldier named Marcus Luttrel who was in Afghanistan as part of a SEAL operation to hunt down an al-Qaida leader holed up in a Taliban stronghold. The story is insane... one of those that you can't believe happened in real life... one that you just imagine was made up for the screen.

Writer/Actor/Producer/Director Peter Berg (VERY BAD THINGS, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS and the upcoming KINGDOM) is set to write and direct the flick, Akiva Goldsman is producing. Really interesting and dramatic story here. I'm curious about this one.
