I don’t have much use for Richard Roeper as a film commenter, and it grinds me a bit to see his name all over this website, but I’m going to run this link anyway because it’s an important one:

You probably know this anyway, but AICN should mention it.

Yes. Yes, we should. And I’ll tell you why. There may be a number of the modern-era Richard Roeper reviews on that site, but there are also hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of Siskel and Ebert reviews available there now, and having a searchable archive of the work they did together is a delight. It’s not complete... at least not yet... but it’s damn good, and I had fun searching it this afternoon, going from review to review, revisiting that amazing chemistry that always made them such a wonderful pair to watch.

You might even find a few reviews in there with Roger Ebert sitting across the aisle from a giant red-haired muppet that looks a little like our own Harry Knowles.

This is good stuff, guys. Enjoy it.
