ONCE director John Carney lines up his next project!!!
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here.
ONCE blew me away at Sundance and I've had the chance since then to see it again as it spread out in a limited release. It really is a great little movie, about as romantic as we've seen... with some great music courtesy of the stars, Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova.
John Carney, director of that flick, has lined up a new film called TOWN HOUSE. It's a comedy about the son of a dead rock legend who has spent years living off of the money he's made selling off his father's possessions and memorabilia. He runs out of things to sell and gets the ball rolling on the very last bit of his father he still has, the titular town house. That forces him to deal with his life and re-evaluate his troubled relationship with his teenage son.
If Carney can bring half of the heart and charm of ONCE to this new project we'll all be in good shape. Can't wait to see what his follow-up ends up turning in to.
