Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Some of the new generation have just signed on to this flick, MIDDLE OF NOWHERE. I first saw Anton Yelchin in HEARTS IN ATLANTIS, but really started paying attention to his work when I began tuning into the recently deceased Showtime original series HUFF, where he played Hank Azaria's son.

I think he's a really talented young man and think he'll go far. I interviewed him for the ALPHA DOG DVD, another solid performance from him. He was really nice and humble, but the interview was one of the only interviews I've conducted, but not run. If you thought the Rupert Grint interview was a bad read, you would have died at the one-word answers I got with Yelchin.

It's not his fault. I would assume he doesn't have much experience talking the press and I must shoulder a lot of the responsibility of not getting him to open up.

Yelchin has recently signed to this movie along with Justin Chatwin, Willa Holland, Susan Sarandon and Eva Amurri. John Stockwell directs... Never saw TURISTAS, but I must admit that his BLUE CRUSH is a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine. This one is a comedy about a pissed off teenager who raises hell when she finds out her mom blew her college money to support her younger sister's beauty pageant aspirations.

Might be a sucky movie, but it has some decent actors attached. We'll see.
