“Two other networks have said they want it," Donald Trump tells Daily Variety, apparently referring to “The Apprentice.”

CBS and Fox? ABC and The CW? Trump does not elaborate in Josef Adalian’s Friday-morning story.

When NBC announced its fall schedule two weeks ago, “The Apprentice” wasn’t part of the peacock network's sprawling press release.

But Ben Silverman, the 36-year-old producer who was involved in bringing “Ugly Betty,” “Identity,” “Celebrity Cooking Showdown,” “The Tudors,” “The Biggest Loser,” “Coupling,” “The Office” and “Nashville Star” to American television – and was named the new NBC Entertainment co-chairman on Wednesday - apparently sees some potential in continuing “The Apprentice.”

According to Friday morning’s Variety, NBC’s option on Trump’s reality series was due to expire Friday, June 1, but now won’t expire until June 8.

Also according to the story, Trump says he is “really impressed” with NBC’s Silverman.
