Nic Cage is dipping into the comic book world again, this time for Virgin Comics' THE SADHU!
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. With GHOST RIDER on the horizon, Nic Cage has attached himself to another comic property, this time a much less known upstart from Virgin Comics called THE SADHU, which is written by Gotham Chopra, spiritualist Deepak Chopra's son. Deepak is going to script the adaptation, which Cage is attached to star in. I don't know a damn thing about this comic, but CEO of Virgin, Sharad Devarajan says it's an epic story that "taps into one of India's most heralded spiritual traditions."
Also on the docket from Cage is a comic he's going to pen with his 15 year old son called ENIGMA about a New Orleans detective investigating a rash of murders that have ties to rebellion at a plantation during the Civil War. Cage is also supposed to be considering this property as a starring vehicle at some point, too.
Cage isn't the only movie guy working with Virgin. They're also developing books with Guy Ritchie and John Woo.
