Poor Peter Coyote; he’s always been so…cool…but he’s constantly being undersold be the parts he’s given (well, taking…or both…however that works out). Remember him in TIMERIDER? The visionary outlaw determined to ride Fred Ward’s “machine” (that doesn’t sound right, does it)?

Also found amidst the rubble of this little gem are Ben Cross (the CHARIOTS OF FIRE guy), Bruce McGill, and Keith David (Roddy's sidekick from THEY LIVE… “Put on the glasses!”)

BEHIND ENEMY LINES: AXIS OF EVIL…which sis straight to video…has also been called BEHIND ENEMY LINES 2, and…believe it or not…BEHIND ENEMY LINES: LAND OF THE MORNING CALM. Which sounds like a heavily caffeinated herbal tea to me.

After watching this, I wish I knew Vern.

He would be so much more eloquent than yours truly.

But it is not to be.

Apart from the name this movie has nothing in common with the first movie. At least Owen Wilson has a scoundrels charm. The fact that the tag line has Axis of evil in it sums it up.

North Korea bad guys, US good guys. It is not a terrible movie -- it is a crap movie, but why use the title? Oh, I forgot, it’s called cashing in. Call it dumb ass seal team gets fucked and does an A Team. That would be better.

In the first fire fight the glorious seal team does sweet FA, can’t hit the broadside of a barn with a cannon. One of our erstwhile heroes gets a point blank shot in the chest and complains “ooo he shot me in my Kevlar”. I was waiting for Hannibal to shot a van and watch flip over, even that would have provided comic relief.

Why Peter Coyote would play the president is beyond me, must have been a pay check day. The general well he will always be god to me from the last episode of Quantum Leap.

The North Korean dude's obsession with Taxi Driver, or as he puts it, "Taxi Rider" -- guess glorious leader isn’t sharing the Hollywood classics with his people. The hero? Never seen him before, probably had a guest appearance on Days of Our Lives, but who knows? Anyone that has a nail hammered into his hand and thinks of Keith David? Well, not going into the gay side of that equation.

Then let’s not forget Mr. David has jumped into bed with Vern’s cinematic lover Dear old Seagal. (Sorry Vern please don’t send hitmen after me, you know u love him).

I Just don’t know what else to say about this Film, the Director James Dobson has a penchant for jumpy cameras. What A Team does it in slow mo he speeds up. I guess we can all be pleased it is direct to video, doubtless it will do well with the gung ho.

Me...I would rather see the Hoff make Ms Piggy scream as he releases his manly power.
