Hey folks, Harry here with the second obit of the night. For most of the current generation - Glenn Ford has been gone for quite some time. We all witnessed his passing on screen when he clutched his hand and said, "Oh no" in SUPERMAN THE MOVIE. It's one of the most memorable deaths in film history - and for geeks - easily one of the most traumatic. Glenn Ford was our Pa Kent - and he did an amazing job. But for cinephiles... We know Glenn as the narrator of GILDA... as the teacher in BLACKBOARD JUNGLE - one of the greatest high school films in history. Or you may remember him as the tough bastard of a Detective in THE BIG HEAT or as the outlaw Ben Wade waiting to be put on the 3:10 TO YUMA. His credits are quite extensive and he just recently turned 90. Glenn led a long and fruitful life. It's sad to see him go, but his passing is yet another good reason to break out the original SUPERMAN - somehow, I think when Pa Kent goes down... there'll be more tears than normal.
