MAN OF THE PEOPLE filming in Israel
Michael Mann's latest effort is getting on the way in Israel as MAN OF THE PEOPLE gears up near Oum El-Fahm. Here's what Confucius Jones has to report
on the subject...
Yair from Israel on this end of the web with some info you might find
interesting.
Al Pacino arrived in Israel on Monday to shoot several scenes for
Michael Mann's film "Man of the People". The location is Oum El-Fahm, an
Arab city in the center of Israel which will double for the scene's
actual location, Ba'al Beck in Lebanon.
In "Man of the People" Pacino plays the "60 Minutes" reporter that gets
hold of a story on corruption in the tabacco industry, a story that CBS
didn't allow to broadcast. The Israeli scene is actually a flashback to
that reporter's previous story, and has nothing to do with that plot
line.
Shooting begins today (Tuesday). If anything interesting happens, I'll
update.
