Hey folks, Harry here. As you’ve probably noticed there’s a lack of updates today. Why? Well because nothing truly cool struck my eye, and I’m exhausted. I’ve been working some pretty long hours recently and when I realized it was 2am my time, and nothing great was in the pipeline... well I’ll take a day to rest up.

What do I need to rest up for? Well, beginning around 7am Thursday morning... I begin living at the Driskill Hotel in Austin, site of the AUSTIN FILM FESTIVAL and WRITER’S CONFERENCE. For the next 5 days I live and breathe the film writing world. I have to keep hours totally different from my normal ones. I’ll be seeing 4 and 5 movies a day, not to mention the ‘hint hint I have a copy of ____________ to show you.’

I’ve got around 7 people that will be helping me report on the different activities of the film and writers’ festival. Quint will be of great help, as will Annette Kellerman, Tom Joad and Father Geek. On the film side, Johnny Wad, Copernicus, Robogeek and more will all be churning out info... hopefully.

I will be running from around 6am to 3am nearly everyday of the fest. So, I’m gonna hibernate. On one panel I’m on is Gary (PLEASANTVILLE) Ross, Stuart (SPACE TRUCKERS) Gordon and Trevor (GHOSTBUSTERS III) Albert he’s the producer.

Last year I made some major contacts in terms of information and spies that led to many great scoops in the year since. Hopefully we will have this occur as well.

Possible stories could be information on the next Coen Brother flick, what happened with Randall Wallace’s WITH WINGS AS EAGLES, Bryan Singer and the state of X-MEN, Brian Helgeland and what is happening with PAYBACK and his next film, Eric Roth and the rumors about the Cat In The Hat and Gump 2, Patrick Sheane Duncan and his remake script of ‘M’, Debra Hill and CRAZY IN ALABAMA, what’s next in Penelope Spheeris’ world, etc etc etc etc.

There are lots of opportunities to find out cool information, and hopefully I’ll find some for ya. Maybe I’ll see some cool scripts, maybe I’ll come up with sandpebbles and a disillusioned look of paranoia. Who knows, but as of now, I need rest.

Time to recharge the batteries. If when I wake up there’s some more coolness to unleash... I’ll put it up. SO keep the reports coming, there’s a lot to learn. I’ll know more tomorrow when I get schedules, etc.

Also I see ANTZ tomorrow night, so I’ll have that report as soon as my fingers find a keyboard. SO there ya go.
