Jinkies! Another AICN Free Screening! PRIMER with writer, director and star in attendance!!!
Hey folks, Harry here... Well, it wouldn't be a new week without a new killer cool AICN / Alamo Drafthouse Deluxe & Cool Screen-arino! That's right, we're here to entertain you, yet again! This time with a debut film that won the Grand Jury Prize and the Alfred P Sloan Film Prize at this year's SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL... PRIMER!

What is PRIMER? Well, here's the official summary:
At night and on weekends, four men in a suburban garage have built a cottage industry of error-checking devices. But, they know that there is something more. There is some idea, some mechanism, some accidental side effect that is standing between them and a pure leap of innovation. And so, through trial and error they are building the device that is missing most.
The story of "Primer" is what happens when two of these men find the device and immediately realize that it is too valuable to market. The limit of their trust in each other is strained when they are faced with the question, "If you always want what you can't have, what do you want when you can have anything?"
More? Well, we've got the Writer/Director/Star of the film, Shane Carruth attending to tell all of you how he made this film, who to bribe at Sundance (not a real question), and whether he wears briefs or speedos. He's a fellow Texan, but that probably means nothing to you.
How is the movie? Well, Here's what Mr Beaks had to say! Want to hear what people without access to wetwork thesauruses had to say? Here's the 4 Sundance reviews: 1, 2, 3 & of course 4!!!
You need Details on when and where the screening is? Ok - The Screening will take place at THE ALAMO DRAFTHOUSE VILLAGE location on September 30th, 2004 at 7:30pm.
What? Oh, how do you get tickets? That's easy enough! They'll be first come first serve beginning at 3pm at the ALAMO DRAFTHOUSE VILLAGE (2700 W Anderson Lane) here in Austin, Texas. Each person can get up to 2 tickets.
So there ya go! The lowdown on a helluva night of entertainment! See ya there!
