Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with an interesting first look at the EXORCIST: THE BEGINNING trailer over at MTV.com... I'm not sure what to think about this... It looks really pretty, but there are already alarm bells going off in my head with the excessive usage of the sound and footage of the original EXORCIST in this trailer. Does that mean they don't have good enough material from their own movie or do they just think today's audiences need help in figuring out that a film called EXORCIST: THE BEGINNING is a prequel? Other than that, I liked the crispness of the cinematography and the atmosphere, but I did talk to someone today who is has had dealings with this film and they said that the trailer is "misleading." All I can say is the project first started with John Frankenheimer (I can't even fathom how cool this movie would have been), then went to Paul Schrader (luckily, I think we'll see what he was doing with it on DVD), then the next obvious step...
