Whiny fanboys!! You must now quit demanding an end to “Enterprise.” According to this year’s USA Today “Save Our Show” survey, the latest “Star Trek” spinoff was far and away the “on the bubble” show viewers most wanted to keep around.

It wasn’t even close. “Star Trek: Enterprise” reaped a record 70 percent of the vote, garnering almost twice the support of runner-up “Arrested Development.” Read more results here.

So. Relentless “Enterprise” trolls. You must stop with your annoying nerd moaning. Brannon Braga co-wrote “All Good Things…” (the widely acclaimed “Next Generation” finale), as well as “Star Trek: First Contact,” which was a spectacularly entertaining motion picture. When Paramount pushed the regular “Star Trek” writers aside to bring in “Star Trek” outsiders – director Stuart Baird (“Executive Decision”) and screenwriter John Logan (“Gladiator”) -- it produced the most feculent turd of a “Star Trek” movie imaginable, “Star Trek: Nemesis.”

So stop watching “Enterprise” if you care to. Migrate to “Andromeda” or “Battlestar: Galactica” or “Lexx” or “Farscape” or "Mutant X" or "Tru Calling." If it makes you feel better, pretend UPN cancelled “Enterprise” and replaced it with a “Jake 2.0” spinoff. Watch “West Wing” or “The Bachelor” or “The O.C.” instead. But please stop calling for “Enterprise’s” demise. Clearly, its support is deeper than it is wide (when was the last time you heard about people lining up to get into a “Law & Order” convention?), and it’s really not hurting anyone.

When you decide in ten years you miss “Star Trek” again, maybe it’ll still be there, waiting for you.
