I am – Hercules!!

1) Aside from what one can read in the current TV Guide, there are two teensy new interviews with genius “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” mastermind Joss Whedon.

The Whedon gives our big May 20 finale “Buffy Bash” a little plugola in a chat with the BBC website.

Also, he answers a lot of the forward-looking questions we planned to ask him at the bash in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter.

2) In other “Buffy”-related news, Fox’s Thursday “upfront” announcements brought word of series orders for both Eliza “Faith” Dushku’s “Tru Calling” and departing “Buffy” showrunner Marti Noxon’s “Still Life.” Both hourlongs deal with the supernatural: “Tru” is about a hot brunette with the magical ability to go back 24 hours and correct the previous day’s travesties; “Still” is about a young man observing his family from beyond the grave. Fox has given “Tru” an autumn slot against both “Survivor” and “Friends” (yikes!); “Still Life” is down as a midseason replacement.

3) There was no mention of a midseason "Buffy" spinoff at the Thursday UPN upfront.

4) Finally, someone who’s seen the inside of the Mutant Enemy offices was stuck by Herc’s comments last month likening the “Buffy” series finale to a certain blockbuster movie franchise:
